CCI Antennas Sign Major Supply Contract for Next Generation Antennas with Ooredoo Group
Long term Agreement to provide future-proof antenna solutions for Next Generation Networks across Ooredoo Group
OTTAWA and DOHA, April 2018 – Communication Components Inc. (CCI), a leading provider of mobile network infrastructure solutions, is pleased to announce that Communication Components Antennas Inc. (CCI Antennas, a CCI Company) has been selected as a preferred vendor for Ooredoo Group ("Ooredoo"), a major international telecommunications operator with headquarters in Doha, Qatar. Ooredoo is a leading multinational company with operations across the Middle East, North Africa and Asia.
The five-year supply agreement enables CCI to provide Ooredoo with the full line of CCI’s leading edge, innovative antenna solutions, RF conditioning, PIM testers and Distributed Antennas System (DAS) components, ideal for supporting the next generation of network roll outs and accelerating their Radio Access Network (RAN) evolution. Included in the agreement are CCI’s range of patented solutions for improving sector capacity, throughput and performance via Higher Order Sectorization and their increasing range of single and dual band multi-beam antennas, now with optimized carrier aggregation and 4x4 MIMO support, enabling the highest possible capacity solutions for urban areas and hotspots. “This is a significant win for CCI on the worldwide stage against stiff competition. The five-year group-level global frame agreement with Ooredoo covers all Ooredoo regional and international markets, and will help increase the capacity and coverage of the Ooredoo networks while bringing increased spectral efficiencies and cost savings.
